The
PMC-1250 combines versatility with reliable performance in
the forming of paperboard cups and containers.
It has the ability
to create tapered cups or straight wall canisters, in round
or non-round configurations. It efficiently forms inline,
and also creates preformed nestable containers. Package heights
range from 2.5" to 12", with capacities from 4 oz. to 46 oz.
depending upon configuration. Height changes - particularly
for straight wall canisters - are made quickly and at a low
cost.
Options include
a double sealed paperboard bottom that provides excellent
compression strength. The recessed bottom also provides stability
during the filling operation and through distribution. A rolled
top edge adds strength to the package economically and provides
easy and secure reclosure.
Repeatable, synchronized
operation is assured by cam-actuated machine and station functions.
The transfer turret and the patented shuttle feeder of the
PMC 1250 Series offer precise control of the paperboard blank
and conditions the board prior to forming. Cam-actuated seam
clamps and folding wings also help the PMC 1250 perform precisely
to specifications and in a repeatable manner. Machine speeds
for tapered containers range between 150-165 cpm. Straightwall
canisters are most often run at 110-120 cpm.
The 1250 machine
has been an industry leader in quality and performance for
many years. It has proved its worth on a variety of packages
for a variety of markets, including confectionary, cookie,
cracker, soup, dried fruit, and beverages.
