At its simplest, a query can be just a word or a phrase. Keep in mind that a string of words will result in a search for that entire phrase.  Separating those words with AND or OR will allow you to further refine your search. A search for Web AND Internet will result in all pages with BOTH words in them; A search for Web OR Internet will result in all pages with either words in them. 

Unless specified otherwise, the search is case sensitive, meaning a search for "internet" will show no matches if all occurrences of the word Internet are capitalized.
