Eating away from home is a significant part of our culture. For cereal manufacturers, this means a cost effective single serve cup capable of fitting in car holders, being microwaved, and being eaten on the run. Quality graphics and appetite appeal are also critical to getting the product noticed on the shelf and purchase. For this market, PMC developed the OW-800 - a machine that wraps paperboard sleeves around plastic, foam, or paperboard cups. The sleeve is sealed with hot melt or cold adhesive or it can be heat sealed to the base cup.Barrier One™ containers can have excellent thermal transfer properties and ease of handling after microwaving. Speeds on the OW-800 range up to 155 cpm.
