Visit us at the 2008 trade shows and see the latest PMC machine models producing plastic non-round Barrier Plus™ containers.
Paper Machinery Corporation (PMC) will be operating their new PMC 1250NRP container forming machine at 2008 trade shows. This model joins the PMC 1002P, 1250P and the PMC 1300P in the innovative new line of machines specifically engineered to form pre-printed plastic, two-piece, convolute cups and containers. These Barrier Plus™ plastic cups and containers are excellent, high-quality alternatives to decorated thermoformed and injection molded containers. Package size, annual volume and line speed determine which model is most suitable to a client’s needs.

Barrier Plus™ expands commercial packages
Barrier Plus™ container forming has expanded in 2007 through machine shipments to three new customers; Westgate Products, Deerfield, IL; Visstun Packaging, Las Vegas, NV; and Big 3D; Fresno CA. These clients will promote pre-printed and pre-formed, tapered cups and containers in sizes ranging from 16 ounce to 140 ounce. We have also added a third machine modal to the Barrier Plus line: the PMC 1250P. When PMC introduced Barrier Plus™ in 2005, the containers were formed on the PMC 1002P and 1300P machine models. Which machine model is appropriate is based on container size, desired machine speed and production quantities. Machine speeds range between 120 – 240 CPM.
The Barrier Plus™ container is different than other plastic options. By printing litho prior to forming, the Barrier Plus™ container far exceeds the graphic reproduction of post—printed thermoformed or injection molded containers and is superior to preprinted shrink film or IML options.
PMC is moving forward with straight wall and non-round forming of Barrier Plus™ containers. This technology will be commercially available in the second half of 2007. |
