PMC Debuts 300 CPM Cup-Forming MachineMilwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.A. - Paper Machinery Corporation has introduced the PMC 1002 Cup-Forming Machine, capable of running at the unprecedented production speed of 300 cups per minute, with a top design speed of 330 cups per minute. "That's a 25% higher speed range than our PMC 1001 machine, at virtually the same price level," says PMC President John Baumgartner. "We designed the PMC 1002 to cut cup production costs and increase profits for our customers."
From the base up, the PMC 1002 is designed and built for speed. Its bottom drive cams are optimized for maximum speed, and machine components are engineered and fabricated to be as light as possible for the fastest operation. The weight of some machine stations, for example, has been reduced as much as 30% compared to the same stations on the PMC 1001. Built on the legacy and proven technology of the PMC 1001, the PMC 1002 incorporates many of the same performance features that have reduced wear, decreased downtime and increased production in dozens of 1001 installations. In addition, the PMC 1002 is loaded with new advanced performance features for the fastest, easiest cup production ever. An easy-to-read, color touch-screen display allows for simple, intuitive operator control of machine speed, heaters and timing, and easier monitoring of alarms and production data. Many features of the PMC 1002 are designed to provide more convenient access, maintenance and cleaning. Raising a single safety enclosure opens up one entire side of the machine. Safety enclosures are raised vertically rather than swinging out, so machines can be installed closely together.
