Snack Container

Barrier One
Barrier One™ is a unique paperboard canister developed by Paper Machinery Corporation offering a better mix of affordability, printability and product protection than anything else in the market. The secret behind Barrier One is a unique metallized polypropylene interior with a patented seal coating, developed in conjunction with a coating industry leader. This combined with skive and hem edge protection and PMC's patented heat seal technology make the container virtually impervious to air and moisture penetration.

The Barrier One package features an easy open zip strip that is both consumer-friendly and tamper-evident. The post fill closure on Barrier One utilizes a composite closure which is induction sealed for the preservation of package integrity and product freshness. The slender shape is designed to fit into car cup holders for "dashboard dining." Barrier One has no rolled edges and no chimes which help ensure package integrity during transport. Barrier One is formed on either PMC's 1250 Series machines or the PMC 1002.

Barrier Plus Wrap
Barrier Plus WrapT encompasses a family of three distinctly different products addressing a range of markets from snacks to soups and liquids. The first product is an embossed paperboard sleeve wrapped around a paperboard cup that addresses the issue of thermal transfer. The second is a printed paperboard sleeve wrapped around a plastic cup for products with moisture and gas barrier needs. And the third is the "Plus" of Barrier Plus Wrap - a lenticular or holographic sleeve wrapped around a paperboard or plastic cup for maximum graphic impact. Containers are wrapped on the PMC OW 800 machine at a production rate of up to 155 cpm.

Round Tapered
Used primarily as popcorn tubs and buckets in food concession operation, these large, single-wrap, two-piece paperboard containers can also be found in numerous other food service applications. An ample size range, two sealing options and high-speed formation give these containers their competitive edge in the popcorn concession market. Containers can be formed of either uncoated or polyethylene-coated paperboard depending on the type of sealing desired. Containers of 32 to 100 ounces can be formed on the PMC 1500 at a production rate of 100 - 130 CPM. Containers of 100 to 200 ounces can be formed on the PMC 3000 at 50 - 65 CPM.

Specialty
When the fast food industry needed an attractive, functional container for French fries and onion rings, PMC developed a unique package. This environmentally appropriate paperboard container allows for appealing graphics and logo identification. The open die-cut edge makes fries easy to scoop and easy to eat. The cup-like round, recessed bottom gives the container stability so the product doesn't spill out. These containers can be formed on the PMC 1000, PMC-1002 or PMC 1250 forming machines.
