Subject: Noise Reduction — Bottom Finish Station

Recommendations: 

A new energy and sound absorbing Shock Absorber Stop has been developed for the Bottom Finishing station of all PMC cup machines.

This special urethane coated steel washer is installed as shown on the enclosed assembly sketch. When the tooling head slides forward in the return stroke of the station the two shock absorbers eliminate the impact noises and load of the adjusting nuts against the housing stop lugs.
