Job Title: Assembler

Shifts Available: 1st Shift

Job Description:

Paper Machinery Corporation is currently seeking a skilled Machine Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to diagnose problems, and the capability to complete assemblies efficiently. This position requires working collaboratively with engineers, customers, and PMC team members, so excellent communication skills are essential. Some travel may eventually be required. New assemblers will undergo an extensive training program to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their role.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assemble machines according to specifications and engineering drawings
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues as they arise
  • Complete assemblies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work professionally and collaboratively with engineers, customers, and PMC team members
  • Communicate effectively to ensure project requirements are met
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

 

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work professionally with engineers, customers, and team members
  • Willingness to undergo training and development as required
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience in machine assembly or a related field
  • Technical training or certification in mechanical assembly
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings
