Subject: Improved Detection of Failed FHA Air Supply

Recommendations: 

Since the existing circuit for protection of the F.H.A. elements in the.event of the loss of air supply does not initiate a stoppage of the machine, it is possible to produce cups with a weak side seam or bottom seam seal.

The addition of one electrical contractor for each F.H.A. element and some minor rewiring will improve the detection of a failed F.H.A. air supply by incorporating the use of the “low temp” circuit. This would then stop the machine and eliminate the possibility of running the machine without all F.H.A. heaters functioning properly.
