Subject: Improved Top Curl Lubrication

Recommendations: 

To eliminate the overspray and dripping of top curl lubricant, a new top curl lubrication system is now available from PHC.

Three areas of improvement have been made to the 1000 Series machines to eliminate the overspray and dripping of top curl lubricant. They are as follows:

1) A new felt type tamper lube assembly #52905-C.

2) A new lube cabinet retrofit assembly #52908-D.

3) A new tamper lube recovery system assembly, #47889-C, which utilizes a vacuum type recovery.

When all three of these assemblies are connected together, overspray and dripping of the top curl lubricant is eliminated. The enclosed diagram shows the improved top curl lubrication system and necessary assemblies required pending type of 1000 Series machine.

On FHA, FHA/GS combination machines, necessary retrofit assembly required are

One (1) tamper lube retrofit and tooling assembly #52905-C, for any specified cup size.

One (1) lube cabinet retrofit assembly, #52908-D.

On HS and GS machines, necessary retrofit assemblies required ares

One (1) tamper lube retrofit and tooling assembly #52905-C for any specified cup size.

One (1) lube cabinet retrofit assembly, #52908-D.

One (1) tamper lube recovery system retrofit assembly #47889-C (including recovery tank and associated fittings).

Once the machine is converted to this new top curl lubrication system, additional sets of lubricator tooling are available.
