In honor of October being National ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Month, Paper Machinery Corporation (PMC) is proud to highlight the remarkable journey of transitioning to an employee-owned company. This transformation, initiated in 2016, has brought forth a myriad of benefits for both the company and its dedicated employees.
An ESOP is an employee benefit plan that gives workers ownership interest in the company in the form of shares of stock.
At PMC, the transition to an ESOP was a pivotal moment in the company’s history. It demonstrated PMC’s commitment to fostering a workplace where employees have a stake in the company’s future by linking it to their own future. The transition to an ESOP was also a commitment to the state of Wisconsin that PMC will be a part of its manufacturing community for years to come.

In celebration of National ESOP Month, Paper Machinery Corporation will be hosting various events and activities throughout the month, including informational sessions for employees and community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about the benefits of employee ownership. These include food drives, and taking donations for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Paper Machinery Corporation Names Todd Peterson as Director of Global Technical Services

Paper Machinery Corporation is excited to announce the addition of Todd Peterson as our Director of Global Technical Services. Todd’s first day with PMC was Monday, July 24, 2023, and he will be reporting directly to the undersigned.
Todd comes to PMC from a multinational manufacturer of large farming equipment headquartered in Germany, where he most recently held the position of US Central Region Technical Service Manager. He has spent the last ten-plus years focused on bringing customers outstanding service in a large equipment category similar to ours. PMC is committed to continuous improvement, and that includes a focus on the quality and expansion of our Service Department. Todd’s focus on both technician technical training and advanced troubleshooting will serve PMC customers well. He has also identified the opportunity to expand PMC’s technical field service capacity, create predictive maintenance capabilities, and develop an enhanced Service Level Agreement product offering that will present an increased array of service deliverables to our customer base.

The PL 100 creates quality 1-piece paperboard lids that introduce new opportunities for the product packaging design industry. From cold beverages to dry goods and snack foods, this machine makes it possible to effectively replace plastic thermoformed lids for a wide variety of packaging options with its snap-and-lock feature that ensures a secure fit to cups and containers.
A variety of embossing options can be added to give lids a unique and custom look based on the needs of branding and promotional runs. With bans on single-use plastics now being implemented in countries and cities across the globe, PMC is an industry leader in paperboard-forming solutions. A significant trend in the industry is the identification of a replacement for Polyethelene (PE) as the coating used for sealing paperboard products, including paper cups. PMC played a vital role in the identification of Polylactic Acid (PLA) as a replacement solution. PLA is made from renewable resources such as cornstarch, sugar cane, and cassava. PMC is also currently hosting coatings companies and paperboard suppliers that are looking at aqueous-based PE replacement solutions to conduct Research & Development on PMC equipment.
